| ‘Preserving Your Special Flowers’
A Victorian tradition is now available to you.
Flowers Pressed Forever offers a gently process of pressing, preserving and framing to capture the beauty of your fresh flowers. Even your special garden flowers can be captured by Flowers Pressed Forever for you to enjoy for years to come. And, if you desire, silk flowers can also be designed into beautiful arrangements, at a lesser price.
Upon receiving your flowers, a special preservation process begins which lasts two to three months. The petals and foliage are reassembled into the design and onto the color background you choose. We offer subtle romantic shades to deeper tones for a more dramatic effect. Also Flowers Pressed Forever offers a service where the bride may use her own wedding gown fabric as a backcloth for the design.
The finished designs are set in a fine-quality wood frame of your choice in a gold or walnut. We also offer a rectangular frame in gold-leaf finish. The date of the special occasion you are commemorating written on the back of your frame design, or the date and other information can be written on the back of the framed design.
A finished design in a small oval or circular frame is a precious keepsake for mothers, attendants and others who participate in your special occasion. A Flowers Pressed Forever floral design is a great gift idea, and gift certificates are available.
Your Choice of Flowers
Most flowers press well, and the following are recommended...
Roses, carnations, gysophilia (baby's breath), forget-me-nots, fressia, heather, most lilies, lily of the valley, larkspur, hydrangea, delphinium, alstroemeria, some orchids, statice, stephanotis, gardenias, Queen Anne's Lace, eucalyptus, daises and most all foliage preserves well such as ivy and leather leaf fern.
The preservation process will cause some reds to darken and some whites to turn ivory or parchment color. Peach will turn a bit pink. All flowers blend beautifully with any decor through the years.
A suggestion... your floral design will be of more interest and beauty if you choose a variety of flower shapes and sizes. Smaller flowers really add a special touch. However, almost any flower's beauty can be captured.
